Montana
A view from 1939:
DUTTON, (3,535 alt, 350 pop.), is a small collection
of frame houses built around grain elevators and a flour mill.
In normal years it is one of the leading wheat-shipping points
in the State; in 1934 it shipped 977 carloads. Dry-land farmers
in its vicinity sometimes make impressive income tax returns.
A hard, heavy wheat, high in protein, is produced.
